ABOUTSCOTT

On September 14, 2007, during a Mission Hills Grizzlies home football game, linebacker #54 Scott "Scotty" Eveland, sustained a critical head injury. He was rushed from the football field to the hospital where he remains in a coma at Palomar Medical Center’s critical care unit following emergency surgery. Although his condition remains unchanged and doctors say it could be weeks or months before they can give their prognosis, his family remains hopeful.

Seventeen-year-old Scotty is a senior, honor student who loves to debate politics, world affairs and economics. He hopes to attend UC San Diego after graduation and study medicine. He told his parents he wants to be a pediatrician.
